AZPML Profile
AZPML is an international practice, based in London and New York. AZPML was born in 2011 as a legacy practice of FOA. Established by Alejandro Zaera-Polo and Maider Llaguno-Munitxa, AZPML has a commitment to excellence in architecture and urbanism, combining technical innovation with design quality.
The practices’ award-winning projects include the Yokohama International Cruise Terminal in Japan, the Ravensbourne College of Arts and Communication in Greenwich, the John Lewis Department Store and the Cineplex and Footbridges in Leicester, the Carabanchel Social Housing in Madrid, the Meydan Retail Complex and Multiplex in Istanbul, the Spanish Pavilion at the 2005 International Expo in Aichi, the coastal park in Barcelona, the Municipal Theatre and Auditorium in Torrevieja, La Rioja Technology Transfer Centre in Logrono, the Dulnyouk Publishing Headquarters in Paju, South Korea, and the Birmingham New Street Station.
AZPML’s current projects include the Cerezales Foundation Antonino & Cinia [FCAYC] in Spain, the Haynes residence in Andalusia, the development of administrative and canteen buildings for Weifang University, the Youbang campus residence in Shanghai, the Kirchberg Social Housing in Luxemburg, the Snirchgasse tower in Vienna, the pedestrian bridge Ex-Torretta in Bellinzona, and the Locarno Cinema Film Festival headquarters in Switzerland.
